Guys Weekend
DRLPS spent the summer of 2022 looking into options to restore power to the Light. It was determined that the underwater power cable is not repairable. As we work to restore power to the Light, we will be scheduling Keeper weekends as we have done in the past. The experience will look a little more rustic, however. There will be a generator to provide basic cooking and lights. However, there be will no hot water available for showers.
With the guidance of some very knowledgeable folks, a solution has been developed. We have applied for a Michigan Lighthouse Assistance Program (MLAP) grant and hope to be awarded grant status in the Spring.
(Maximum 6 people per weekend)
